Golfers Finish First at Hardin-Simmons
March 16, 2005 ABILENE, Texas - TCU's junior varsity team fired a 312 to come from behind for a 19-shot win over Redlands Community College in the Hardin-Simmons Spring Golf Invitational that concluded in cold conditions Tuesday at Diamondback Golf Course. The two-day tourney (par 71, 6,009 yardage) concluded with Camila Sola of Redlands Community College (72-80) taking the individual crown by two shots over sophomore Stacey Bieber. The Horned Frogs finished 2-3-3-7-13. Freshmen Elisa Gomez and Carrie Morris followed Bieber at a tie for third, while freshman Megan Sakamoto came in seventh and sophomore Jane Fischer rounded out the team at 13th.
