Women Fire 295 to Scoot into Third
Four Frogs in Top 20 after Second Day
AUSTIN, Texas (March 14, 2001)--After two dyas of play, the TCU women's golf team has pushed its way into third place among 12 teams at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic in Austin, Texas. TCU sits eight shots behind first-place Baylor and is just one shot behind second-place Tennessee heading into the final 18 holes. Freshman Courtney Wood leads a crew of four Frogs who are listed in the tournament's Top 20. The freshman currently resides in fifth place, just two shots off the pace, with a 36-hole score of 147. Her two-day score is good for 3-over par at the Great Hills Golf Club. Fellow freshman Brooke Tull launched herself into a tie for ninth place after netting a 1-under par 71 on the second day. Junior Jennifer Patterson's score of 152 places her in a tie for 15th, while sophomore Shannon Barr's 154 has her in a tie for 20th place. Senior Brenda Anderson is tied for 26th with a two-day total of 154. Play concludes with 18 holes on Wednesday, March 14.
