BRYAN, Texas -- The No. 24 TCU women's golf team was in sixth place after Saturday's opening round of the Texas A&M "Mo"morial at Traditions Golf Club. The second round was suspended due to darkness.

The Horned Frogs shot a 37-over-par 325 through the opening 18 holes and were 12 strokes behind No. 27 Michigan State's 313. The Spartans held a one-stroke lead over 11th-ranked Denver.

Valentine Derrey posted TCU's top first-round score with a 77. Freshman Prisela Campbell, a Fort Worth native, had a 79.

Sunday will feature the completion of second-round play as well as the final round. Live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com.
