FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team has climbed to 28th in the latest Golfstat rankings while also appearing at No. 31 in the Golfweek rating.
The Horned Frogs, who begin play Saturday at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invite in Gainesville, Fla., are 63-31-3 in head-to-head competition against other teams this year.
TCU is also well represented by a pair of individuals in the national standings.
Catherine Matranga is ranked 39th by Golfstat and 56th by Golfweek. The senior from Fort Worth is second in the Mountain West Conference with a 73.5 stroke average.
Freshman Valentine Derrey, the reigning MWC Golfer of the Month, is ranked 66th by Golfstat. The Paris, France, native has a 74.3 stroke average to place fourth in the MWC.
