TCU golf heats up as snow hits the ground
March 3, 2008
FORT WORTH, Texas -- Included below is the latest installment of "The Gallery Wants to Know" by TCU senior women's golfer Elisa Gomez.
Hello there Frog fans! Welcome to your weekly dose of what's happening in TCU women's golf and around the Fort Worth area. Now let's begin...
This weather... Goodness. Actually it's why I love Texas. I'm not going to lie. One day it's warm and sunny, the next day it's snowing! Of course some may say I'm crazy, but I know you're agreeing with me. Where else can you get that? Okay maybe a few other places, but really this is the place to be. I am kind of bummed though because I'm missing out on the snow, as I am writing this entry in the basement of the library. Oh well, hopefully there will be enough accumulation when I walk outside.
Well, the team got back safely and tanned (but not so much burned) from Puerto Rico, except a few had some attacks from the sand fleas... Yeah I forgot about that. Next time team, next time. Now it's on to College Station for the Texas A&M MoMorial. It is a very good tournament played at Traditions Club, which is an excellent course. So if you are in the area, I'd definitely go check it out and support your Lady Horned Frogs.
Here on the home front that is the TCU campus, everyone is getting ready for Spring Break. I can tell you it is a much-needed break before the final stretch. Yep it's almost that time... Graduation time. All the seniors know what I'm talking about, especially if you're in season. Sports, school, cap and gown orders, and families booking hotels. Yeah, it's getting crazy. And my advice to underclassmen: do as much as you can and take everything in during your time here. It goes by fast. With all of that said, everyone take care and take it easy...
TCU: Congrats to the Women's Track and Field team for winning TCU's first conference championship of the year at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships.
Life: If you go to the MoMorial, check out the 2006 Southern Living Idea House located at Traditions Club.
