Derrey cards her second-straight 71 in Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico -- TCU sophomore Valentine Derrey shot her second-straight 71 and is four strokes off the lead, while the Horned Frogs are fifth out of 18 teams after Monday's second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Derrey is tied for fourth individually with a 2-under-par 142 through 36 holes. Stacy Lewis of Arkansas leads with a 6-under 138. The 27th-ranked Horned Frogs carded a 12-over 300 and trail No. 14 Kent State by 14 strokes heading into Tuesday's final round. The Golden Flashes lead 30th-ranked LSU by one shot. TCU freshmen Prisela Campbell and Melissa Loh both posted second-round 76s. Campbell is tied for 19th with a 5-over 149. Derrey and Loh are two of just seven golfers to be at 1 under or better on par-3 scoring. Derrey is also at 2 under on par-5 scoring. TCU's 22 birdies through the opening two rounds place fifth. The Frogs are tied for third in par-3 scoring at 9 over. Tuesday's final round begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Team Scores TCU Scores
