TCU In 12th Place At Lady Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico -- Alexandra Bonetti shot a team-best 74 while Brooke Beeler carded an eagle to lead TCU in second-round action Monday at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The 33rd-ranked Horned Frogs are in 12th place heading into Tuesday's final round. Twelve of the 15 teams in the field are ranked in the top 50. Beeler's eagle came on the par 4, 289-yard 13th hole. Bonetti birdied three of her opening nine holes en route to a team-best four birdies on the day. The freshman from Paris, France, is tied for 28th individually. Sanna Nuutinen birdied two of her final four holes en route to a 78 for TCU. No. 11 Georgia is at 9-over-par 585 through 36 holes for a one-stroke lead over No. 10 LSU. TCU is at 617. Individually, Georgia's Emilie Burger and Marta Silva are tied with Purdue's Laura Gonzalez atop the leaderboard at 4-under 140. Tuesday's final round begins with a 5:30 a.m. CST shotgun start.
