Matranga and Bieber key final round for TCU

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Catherine Matranga and Stacey Bieber carded final round 73s today as the TCU women's golf team placed 13th at the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate Showdown. TCU (308-297-295--900), which lowered its score each round, was just one shot behind Colorado State and UC Irvine who tied for 11th at 899. No. 2 UCLA posted a 27-stroke victory over Kent State for the team title on the par-72, 6,168-yard Anthem Country Club course. Camille Blackerby was the top Frog finisher, placing 24th with a 72-72-74--220 (+4). UCLA's Hannah Jun took medalist honors with a 10-under-par 206 (70-70-66). TCU has now closed its fall season. The Frogs return to action Feb. 21-23 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan. Team Standings TCU
