Camille Blackerby's 1-under-par 71 and second-place finish, the TCU women's golf team finished third after today's final round of the Lady Paladin Invitational.
Blackerby's 71, which tied for the low score on the day, came after an opening-round 75 and a second-round 73. Her 54-hole total of 219 (+3) finished just one stroke behind USF's Christina Jones for medalist honors.
The Frogs shot a 298 today, its best round of the tournament. The total was two strokes behind second-place Mississippi State for the top score on the day. It was also six strokes better than host and team champion Furman's 304.
TCU (903) finished nine strokes behind Furman (894) for the team title and four shots back of Mississippi State (899) for second.
The Frogs close their fall season Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.
