TCU finishes sixth at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- TCU shot a final round 25-over-par 313 to finish sixth out of 17 teams, while Catherine Matranga's 76 put her in seventh place among individuals at Furman University's Lady Paladin Invitational. Northwestern won the team and individual titles. The Wildcats' 54-hole score of 912 (+48) was 12 strokes better than runner-up Memphis (924). Alice Kim of Northwestern took medalist honors with an even-par 216, two shots ahead of Coastal Carolina's Araceli Felgueroso (218). Matranga's 54-hole score of 226 (+10) put her 10 strokes behind Kim. Matranga was the September Mountain West Conference Golfer of the Month. TCU seniors Camille Blackerby and Stacey Bieber both carded final-round 79s to finish in ties for 20th and 23rd, respectively.
