LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Sophomore Catherine Matranga held on as others dropped off in the final round of New Mexico State's Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate on the NMSU Golf Course (par 72, yardage 6,319), finishing tied for 12th. Last year, Matranga finished 12th in the Conference USA Championship. The Horned Frogs slipped back a few spots to finish 10th with a 935 total.

The third and final round proved the toughest for TCU, with senior D'Rae Ward falling from 14th to 25th with her final round 81. The other Frogs had a hard timein the final day, as well, with only Matranga and freshman Elisa Gomez escaping with better scores than the previous rounds.
 

 

Texas Tech's Kim Kolb maintained her first place finish with an even par performance while Arizona State, with four players in the top 25, finished first (893).
