Horned Frogs Finish Tied For Seventh at Dick McGuire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The TCU women's golf team, which began the day in 11th position, moved up the leaderboard to finish in a tie for seventh place at the Dick McGuire Invitational on Saturday after a final-round score of 312. For the tournament, the 25th-ranked Frogs posted a 51-over-par team total of 927. Host school New Mexico easily claimed its third straight title in the event with an impressive five-under 871 over 54 holes. Brooke Tull, who claimed medalist honors at the season-opening Northwest Invite earlier this month, once again paced the Horned Frogs. The senior registered an even-par 73 in the final round to give her a three-round total of 222 (+3). Tull finished in a tie for ninth place, earning her 11th top-20 finish in her last 12 events. Camille Blackerby, a true freshman, was the only other Frog to break 80 in the final round. The Breckenridge, Texas native finished her collegiate debut in a tie for 32nd after totaling a three-day 231 (+12). Sophomore Traci Robison carded an 82 on the final day to slip into a tie for 47th at 237 (+18). Sophomore Stephanie Godare notched an 80, her best score of the tournament, on Saturday to share 67th place with a 243 (+24) for the tournament. True freshman Elin Emanuelsson moved up into 73rd place at the event after a final-round 80. Her three-day score of 245 was 26-over-par. Among the 17-team field were seven schools rated in Golfweek's preseason poll: No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 11 New Mexico, No. 15 Pepperdine, No. 18 Tulsa, No. 20 UNLV, No. 25 TCU and No. 29 Arizona State.
