Frogs Hang In At 10th for the Second Day of Dick McGuire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Horned Frog women golfers shot a collective 308 today at the Dick McGuire tournament in Albuquerque, N.M. Georgia continues to lead the teams, while Karin Sjodin of Oklahoma State gained the lead with an impressive six-under par total. For the Frogs, senior D'Rae Ward climbed four spots on the leaderboard to tie for 14th.
Ward carded a two-over 75 on the day, putting her three-over par overall and nine strokes from the leader. Sophomore Camille Blackerby climbed a relieving 26 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 19th following a solid one-over par day's performance.
Freshman Elisa Gomez, who had led the Frogs in the first day, had a tough round on the links, hitting an eight-over second round. She slipped to a tie for 32nd. Sophomore Elin Emanuelsson also had a rough day, slipping to a tie for 66th, while freshman Carrie Morris stayed a solid 91st despite a six-stroke improvement from day one to day two.
