TCU Women's Golf Team Leads WAC After Day One
LEWISVILLE, Texas (April 23, 2001)--The TCU women's golf team stands in first place after day one of the Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships held at The Golf Club at Castle Hills in nearby Lewisville, Texas. The 14th-ranked Frogs lead by one stroke after shooting a 13-over-par 301. San Jose State sits in second place with a 302 (+14), while 12th-ranked Tulsa is in third with a 306 total (+18). The Horned Frogs have four golfers in the Top 11, led by senior Brenda Anderson, who is in a four-way tie for first place with Tulsa's Stacy Prammanasudh and Julie Tvede and San Jose State's Marcela Leon. Other Frogs among the leaders are freshman Courtney Wood (75-T5th), junior Jennifer Patterson (75-T5th) and sophomore Shannon Barr (78-T11th). TCU's final competitor is freshman Brooke Tull (85-T31st). TCU tees off at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday to begin the second round of the 54-hole tournament. Team Standings - Day One
