TCU finishes fourth at MWC Championship

ST. GEORGE, Utah -- TCU finished fourth at the Mountain West Conference Women's Golf Championship. Horned Frog junior Catherine Matranga, after holding the individual lead entering Saturday's final round, shot an 11-over-par 83 to place in a tie for 10th at 227. Camille Blackerby had TCU's low score on the day with a 5-over 77. She finished in a tie for 20th individually, while fellow Frog junior Elin Emanuelsson was in a deadlock for 17th with a 15-over 231. TCU shot a final round 33-over-par 321, finishing 32 strokes behind UNLV. The Rebels won their third straight MWC championship with a five-shot victory over second-place New Mexico. The Frogs will look for their 11th straight NCAA postseason appearance when regional bids are announced May 1. Team Scores TCU Scores
