Women's Golf Holds on to 9th Place at ASU Invitational

The TCU women's golf team held on to the ninth place position at the Ping/ASU Invitational. The Frogs final round posting of 295 gave the team a 54-hole total of 898 and their fifth top-10 finish on the spring. The team title was taken by Tulsa, who posted a three-day score of 871.

Leading the Frogs on day three were Brooke Tull and Meredith Easley, who both fired a 73 on the day. Tull finished in a tie for 15th with her three-day showing of 222. Lori Sutherland shot a 74 in third round action, for a total of 224 and a tie for 24th. Shannon Barr carded a 75 on Sunday, and a 226 on the tournament to tie for 35th. D'Rae Ward posted at 75 on day three, and her total of 229 was good for a tie for 46th. Easley's final round 73 gave her a total of 234 and a tie for 69th on the weekend.

TCU moved from 11th place after round one to a tie for ninth place on day two. The final round team score of 295 held ninth place for the Frogs. The next outing for the team will be their first appearance at the Conference USA Championships in Hattiesburg, Miss. on April 19-21.
