TCU Closes Play At LSU Tiger Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. -- No. 32 TCU closed play Sunday with a 12th-place finish at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. With a 16-over-par 880, No. 16 Tennessee captured the team championship by two strokes over No. 8 and host LSU. The LSU Tiger Golf Classic featured six of the top-30 programs in the nation, including three in the top 10. Sanna Nuutinen was TCU's top individual finisher, tying for 36th with a 232. She joined Katy Cardno and April McCoy as one of three Horned Frogs to shoot a final-round 79. Nuutinen posted back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th holes en route to a team-best three birdies on the day. Cardno had a pair of birdies on the front nine. TCU freshman Alexandra Bonetti began her day with birdies on two of her opening five holes. North Carolina's Catherine O'Donnell and Tennessee's Erica Popson tied for medalist honors with a 2-under 214. TCU returns to action March 30 when it begins play at the Ping/Arizona State Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz. Team Scores TCU Scores
