Nuutinen's 72 Keys Frogs in Palmetto State

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- TCU's Sanna Nuutinen carded a 1-over-par 72 as the Horned Frogs moved into 11th place after Saturday's second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. TCU's 305 was six strokes better than Friday's opening round 311. Nuutinen birdied two of her final three holes on the front nine and finished with a team-high three birdies on the day. The junior from Helsinki, Finland, is tied for 46th individually. Kortnie Maxoutopoulis recorded her second straight 75 for TCU and is the highest Horned Frog in the individual standings with her tie for 26th. No. 11 Vanderbilt is at 578 for a three-stroke advantage over No. 35 LSU. Eight of the 15 teams in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate field are ranked in Golfstat's top 20 with 13 in the top 50. LSU's Madelene Sagstrom sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 4-under 138, three shots ahead of Arizona State's Noemi Jimenez. Sunday's final round will feature an 8:30 a.m. CDT shotgun start.
