Alexandra Bonetti's 73 keyed TCU's opening round Friday at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
The Horned Frogs are 12th with a 311. No. 8 Arkansas leads with a 293, two strokes ahead of No. 3 North Carolina and No. 35 LSU. Eight of the 15 teams in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate field are ranked in Golfstat's top 20 with 13 in the top 50.
Bonetti birdied her opening hole en route to her 2-over-par 73. The sophomore from Paris, France, is tied for eighth individually as she looks for her second straight top-10 finish. She's had a career-best result in TCU's last two tournaments.
Fellow Horned Frog sophomore Kortnie Maxoutopoulis had three birdies on the back nine and a team-best four on the day en route to a 75. Maxoutopoulis is tied for 27th.
Arkansas' Emma Lavy carded a 3-under 68 and holds a three-stroke lead over a trio of golfers with a 71.
