Blackerby leads TCU effort in final round of Lady Puerto Rico Classic

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- TCU shot a 19-over-par 307 in Sunday's final round to finish ninth out of 16 teams at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The tournament was played on the par 72, 6,219-yard Dorado Del Mar course. Camille Blackerby carded a 2-over-par 74 to finish in a four-way tie for 11th place with a 6-over 222. Amanda McCurdy of Arkansas took medalist honors with a 2-under-par 214, two strokes ahead of Florida's Whitney Myers. The No. 22 Gators won the team championship with a 21-over-par 885. Third-ranked Purdue was two shots behind in second, while No. 9 Arkansas was three strokes off the pace with a 24-over 888. TCU had a three-round total of 915 (+51). TCU junior Catherine Matranga tied for 25th individually with a 10-over 226. Sophomore Carrie Morris shot a final-round 76 for a three-day 232 (+16) to place in a tie for 40th.
