Derrey Finishes Fifth, Frogs Seventh In Florida

PARRISH, Fla. -- Valentine Derrey shot a final-round 71 as TCU finished seventh after Tuesday's final round of the Central District Invitational.
Derrey had two birdies and just one bogey on the day as she tied for fifth. The Paris, France, native concluded play with a 2-over-par 218. It was her third top-10 result in four tournaments this season.
Derrey placed five strokes behind medalist Megan McChrystal of LSU, who carded a 3-under 213.
TCU freshman Rachel Raastad tied for 29th with a 230.
With a final-round 307 and 909 total, the 28th-ranked Horned Frogs posted their fifth consecutive top-10 finish.
Auburn shot an 882 to claim a three-stroke tournament victory over LSU.
TCU returns to action March 2 at the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C.
