No. 8 Frogs Set For Fresno State In Mansfield

FORT WORTH, Texas - The nationally ranked TCU equestrian program will open its home season against Fresno State on Saturday morning at Fieldstone Park in Mansfield. Start time for the game is set for 10 a.m. "This is an important home game for us," said head coach Gary Reynolds. "Fresno State is always a tough team and we need to step up and play them really hard."

Scouting Fresno State The Bulldogs won both the English and Western disciplines by a score of 6-4 in each division. In English, Fresno State downed New Mexico State, 783-634. In Western, the Dogs recorded a 723.5-666.5 decision over the Aggies. The Bulldogs garnered MVP accolades from Jessica Kissell, Nicole Roworth and Christa Beezley in their respective competitions.
Scouting TCU Against South Dakota State, the Purple and White posted a 5-3 advantage in Western competition, but fell to the Jacks, 9-7 . TCU outscored the Jackrabbits, 1,155-1,126. Senior Carrie von Uhlit has dominated this fall, compiling an 11-1 overall record between Reining and Horsemanship. The 2008 National Champion has also garnered five MVP honors in 12 competitions. Junior Kelsey Huffman has also fared well this fall, recording a 7-1 record in Reining, while collecting four wins and two MVP honors in Horsemanship. On the English side, Taylor Frederick has led the Horned Frog attack, claiming five victories in eight fences competitions, while Jessica Hagen has had some success in Equitation on the Flat, winning five games, while also collecting four MVP accolades.
