Huffman Announces Signing Of Stewart Monday

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU Interim Western Head Coach Kindel Huffman announced the signing of 2011 World Champion Chantz Stewart Monday morning. "I am extremely excited to have signed Chantz to our team," said Huffman. "She has been showing horses her entire life and will bring a long list of accomplishments and show experience to TCU. Chantz is an incredibly hard working, responsible and talented student-athlete. I believe she will add a lot of depth to our western team."
Stewart, who hails from Cave Creek, Ariz., will don the Purple and White this fall after collecting the 2011 AQHYA World and National Championship in Working Cowhorse. She was also the 2011 AQHYA Reserve World Champion in Working Cowhorse as well as a 13 time finalists at the AQHYA World Show in Cowhorse, Cutting, Heading, Heeling and Breakaway. Stewart, who also earned top-5 finishes at the World Show in Cutting and Intermediate, was the 2011 NRCHA World Champion in Youth Bridle. The 2011 NRCHA Derby Youth Bridle Champion and Reserve Champion is a two-time High-Point Youth Roper on the Arizona Sun Circuit. She has earned top five finishes at the NRCHA World Show in Youth Bridle three times.
