No. 7 TCU Travels to Delaware State

FORT WORTH, Texas- No. 7 TCU will close its regular-season this weekend with meets against Delaware State and Sacred Heart at the Gambler's Choice Equestrian Center in Dover, Del. The Horned Frogs, who are 6-5 overall and 3-3 in Big 12 play, will battle the Hornets Saturday before closing the weekend in Delaware against the Pioneers Sunday. TCU will have a couple of weeks off following this weekend's action before opening postseason play at the Big 12 Championships in Stillwater, Okla., on March 29-30. The Frogs are currently tied with Baylor for first in the conference standings. Follow The Horned Frogs Breaking Down The All-Time Series Moving On Up TCU Duo Claims Big 12 Accolades Bayer, who was honored Wednesday as Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Month, opened the month of February clinching the TCU victory over Baylor at the Fort Worth Stock Show with a 75-72 decision over Bryn Lindley. For the month, she only fell once in Horsemanship, while claiming one MOP honor. She went 4-2 between the two Western disciplines for the month, while claiming two MOP between Reining and Horsemanship, respectively. Perry was honored Wednesday as Co-Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month, sharing league accolades with K-State's Meredith Finch. Perry went 3-0 in Equitation on the Flat for the month of February, including 2-0 in league play with one MOP honor. She defeated Baylor's Kim Woodsum, 83-68, and Oklahoma State's Ellie Sparks, 90-88. Scouting TCU The Frogs are 8-2 in Western, while Hunt Seat squad has posted a 6-4 mark heading into this weekend. Several individuals have scored impressive victories during the 2012-13 campaign. On the Western side, Kolby Simonson and Alexie Estrada will look to go to garner their seventh win on the season this Saturday in Reining and Horsemanship, respectively. Both have at least four victories on the season against Big 12 competition. Katelyn Gray and Alexi Child have come on as of late, posting a 7-3-0 record in Reining, respectively. Several student-athletes have also shined on the Hunt Seat side as the Frogs head into this Saturday's match-up against Delaware State. Demi Stiegler is 8-1-1 overall with two MOP accolades in Equitation on the Flat, while Kaitlin Perry is 6-4-0 overall in Fences this season.
