TCU Lady Frogs set to ride again
Feb. 23, 2007
FORT WORTH, Texas--The TCU equestrian team will return to action this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Texas A&M.
The last time the Lady Frogs were in competition they tied Fresno State in total match points, 8-8, but lost overall 1161-1059.5. However with more experience comes better results.
Although TCU has come up short in the beginning part of the year, TCU head coach Gary Reynolds isn't discouraged.
"If you look at the match, Allie [Royder] got a 0 because she did five spins instead of four in the reining event, and Kindel [Huffman] only lost by half a point," Reynolds said. "This being our first year, nobody expected much out of us and we're definitely making some noise, especially in the Western division."
The game against the Aggies will comprise both the English teams and Western teams for the second time this season. The Western team is the part of the team that gives fans reason to be excited, as it consists of five players who have all been world champions prior to their career at TCU.
"Our Western team is at the national champion level, because there aren't many teams that can trot out five world champions one after another at you in a single game," Coach Reynolds added.
After Texas A&M, the Lady Frogs return home for a Thursday contest against Auburn, starting at 3 p.m. All results can be found on gofrogs.com
