HUDSON OAKS, Texas - Freshman Calli Rouse garnered MVP accolades as TCU dropped No. 5 Oklahoma State Sunday at October Hill Farm, 10-8.

"Today was a great win for us against a quality opponent in Oklahoma State," said Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino. "The Cowgirls are a very good team and this was a great way for us to top off our fall season. We had a very tough fall schedule and I am very proud of how our team has kept their spirits up and continued to gain confidence. They are really confident right now heading into the spring."

It was a solid day for the Horned Frogs, who won their second-straight match and improved their home record to 2-0 on the year. Overall, TCU upended the Cowgirls by a final score of 1,456-1,368, while the Frogs rolled Oklahoma State in Hunt Seat, 7-3, outscoring OSU in the event, 748-655.

In Equitation on the Flat, Callie Selchau and Emily Maloof improved to 2-0 on the weekend with victories over Allison Dooman and Hayden Vosburgh, respectively. Sophomore Caitlin Ader was also victorious, scoring a 76-62 decision over Ellie Sparks. Finally, freshman Kaitlin Perry moved to 6-2-0 on the season with an 85-84 upending of Jordan White.

Haley Jacobi opened the Frog scoring in Equitation over Fences Sunday, downing Sparks, 64-63. Selchau and Ader continued their winning ways on the day, dropping Sammy Fisher and White, respectively. Jacobi is now 5-3-0 overall in Fences, while Selchau has won two-straight in the event.

TCU was just as dangerous in Western Sunday, winning Horsemanship, 3-2. Overall, the Purple and White outscored the Cowgirls in Horsemanship, 360.5-354, but Oklahoma State escaped with a 5-3 overall victory in Western events Sunday.

Rouse, who competed in her first collegiate outing Sunday, led TCU in Horsemanship, defeating Katy Krshka, 74-70, to earn her first MVP award of her young career. Alexie Estrada also collected a victory, dropping Marissa Dalton, 73.5-69.5. Taylor Prince continued her winning ways Sunday with a 72.5-71.5 decision over Maime Tomlin. With the win, the sophomore, who went 2-0 on the weekend and improved her season record to 6-1-0, has now won five-straight games. Senior Courtney Chown appeared to have scored a point for the Frogs, but dropped a close 71.5-71 contest to Lauren Halverson.

In Reining, Alexi Child and Carrie Schimpff each battled to draws Sunday in the event. Child, a freshman from Oregon, just missed scoring for TCU as she posted a score of 72. Schimpff rode London to a 69.5-69.5 draw against Jenna Blumer.

With the win, TCU moved to 2-6 on the year, while nationally ranked Oklahoma State dropped to 2-2 on the fall season.

The Horned Frogs will have a few months off before taking on Texas A&M at the Fort Worth Stock Show on Feb. 3.
