Child had a breakout season as she went 10-5 overall in Reining with one MOP honor ... The sophomore was a NCEA Second-Team All-America honoree this school year, while also collecting All Big-12 honors ... She recorded three conference victories on the season and was a First-Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree after being one of only five student-athletes in the conference to post a 4.00 grade point average ... Was honored with Western MVP accolades following the season ... In all, she won 67 percent of her meets this season, including going 3-3 in conference play in Reining ... Scored a point for the Frogs at the Big 12 Championship, defeating Baylor's Claire Edwards ... Helped the Frogs defeat Baylor at the Fort Worth Stock Show, taking down the Bears' Parris Rice.
