ABOUT THE GAME
TCU looks to get back to its winning ways against Syracuse, as the Lady Frogs saw their six-game win streak come to an end Sunday (Dec. 17) against No. 11/10 Georgia. After trailing by just seven points in the first half, the Lady Frogs stumbled to the Lady Bulldogs, 80-58, in Athens. The contest was the third time this season the Purple and White came up short to an opponent ranked in the Top 25. Against the Lady Bulldogs, three players led TCU in scoring with 14 points apiece: senior Hanna Biernacka, senior Ashley Davis and junior Adrianne Ross. Junior forward Lorie Butler-Rayford had 10 rebounds and five assists, while Ross tallied three steals. The loss against Georgia overshadowed the fact that Davis logged her 1,000th career point in the game. She became just the eighth player in TCU history to have 1,000-or-more points and is ranked No. 8 all-time. She needs 151 more points to catch Leah Garcia (1994-98). On the season, TCU is shooting 40.5 percent from the field, while its opponents are making 41.1 percent of their shots. Davis and Ross have carried the scoring load for TCU this season. The duo has combined to score almost half (333-704) of TCU's points this season and have led the team in scoring every game. They are both shooting 40 percent or better from the field and averaging 16.8 (Ross) and 16.5 (Davis) ppg, respectively.
