COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- TCU senior Ashley Davis and San Diego State freshman Lauren Hoisington have been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week. It marks Davis' second career honor, while Hoisington earns her first.

Davis, a 6-1 guard from San Antonio, Texas, set a season high with 22 points in an 83-71 win over Southern Methodist Friday before posting a career-best 23 points in a 74-56 victory over Pepperdine Sunday. Against the Mustangs,Davis was 7-of-10 from the field (.700) while adding three rebounds and two assists. She chipped in four rebounds, two assists and one steal against Pepperdine, a team that received votes last week's Associated Press poll, while shooting 6-of-6 from the charity stripe in both games.

For the week, Davis averaged 22.5 points and five rebounds. She shot 48.3 percent from the field (14-of-29) and was a perfect 100 percent from the free throw line (12-of-12). Davis also made five three-pointers on the week, extending her streak of making at least one three-point basket to a league-high 16 games.

Hoisington, a 6-2 forward from Las Vegas, Nev., led the Aztecs to a 74-73 overtime victory past Wichita State Sunday. With San Diego State trailing by five points with 4:27 remaining in regulation, the freshman accounted for eight of the team's last 10 points to send the game into overtime. She was a perfect 4-of-4 at the line in that span and scored the Aztecs' last two baskets, including the tying bucket with 38 seconds left in regulation. She finished the game shooting a career-high 85.7 percent (6-of-7) from the line, while collecting a season-high two steals.

Hoisington netted a career-best and game-high 18 points, while matching her career best with a game-high 11 rebounds for her second career double-double in her last three outings. Hoisington's play helped San Diego State to its first overtime win since 2003, while improving the Aztecs to a 3-3 overall mark, matching last season's win total.
