FORT WORTH--TCU aims to run its season record to 2-0 for the ninth time in program history Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., when it plays host to Fresno State at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Former conference rivals when TCU was a member of the Western Athletic Conference, the Frogs and Bulldogs have faced off each of the previous two seasons during non-conference play, with each team winning once on its home court.

The team next takes to the road for a Saturday matchup with No. 20 Oklahoma that tips off at 2 p.m. at OU's Lloyd Noble Center.

TCU's matchup with Fresno can be heard live on the radio throughout the Metroplex on 88.7 KTCU-FM with Jeff Williams and Jeff Lewis serving as the play-by-play team. Williams is in his 12th season as the voice of the Lady Frogs, while Lewis joins the broadcast for his second year as color commentator. The Bulldogs were picked to win the WAC championship in a preseason poll of the league's coaches. Guard Jaleesa Ross was named to the preseason All-WAC team by the media and coaches, while guard/forward Hayley Munro was named to the preseason second team by the media and coaches.

LAST TIME WE MET: FRESNO STATE 75, TCU 71
FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 25, 2008) - No. 22 TCU led Fresno State by as many as 18 points, but was unable to hold off the Bulldogs in the game's final six minutes during a 75-71 setback at Fresno's Save Mart Center.

TCU led by as many as 17 points in the second half and by 16 at 69-53 with 5:57 remaining before Fresno started to surge. Jaleesa Ross capped a 17-0 run on a 3-pointer with 1:23 left to give the Bulldogs their first lead of the game. The trey was one of 13 recorded by Fresno during the contest and three during the run.

Helena Sverrisdottir answered with a jumper in the paint to put the Frogs back on top at the one-minute mark, 71-70, but Munro came right back with a Bulldog basket while fouled with only 21 seconds remaining. Munro nailed the ensuing foul shot, and TCU saw its final hope roll off the rim on another inside look by Sverrisdottir with 10 seconds left.

Sverrisdottir led TCU with 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Chantelle John scored a career-high 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while Micah Garoutte totaled 12 points while going 5-of-7 from her forward spot.
