The TCU Lady Frog basketball team is listed among two more preseason polls, coming in at No. 20 in Basketball News and 22nd in Women's Basketball News Service. TCU has now been listed among the top-25 by five major authories on basketball, which in addition to the aforementioned publications, includes Lindy's College Basketball, Athlon Sports and WomensCollegeHoops.com. The No. 20 ranking by Basketball News is the highest of the five.

The excerpt from Basketball News on the Lady Frogs reads as follows:

"TCU is the only Conference USA school to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament three years in a row. Now the trick is for the Horned Frogs to leap-frog past that point. And they're pretty sure they have the tools to do it. Four starters return from coach Jeff Mittie's 20-14 team that lost to Connecticut in the second round. Junior forward Sandora Irvin is back after scoring 12.0 points per game last year. She also pulled down a Conference USA-best 9.7 rebounds per game. Her 3.9 blocks per game also ranked as tops in the league. In fact, TCU averaged a league-best 6.6 blocked shots. Also back are seniors Ebony Shaw and Tiffany Evans. Both averaged around 9 points and both paced the team with 33 three-pointers made apiece."

TCU is set to open the 2003-04 campaign at home Nov. 21 when Texas State travels to Cowtown for a 7 p.m. match-up at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Two exhibitions Nov. 7 and 17 at 7 p.m. precede the season opener.
