Bradshaw Ready To Excel at TCU
July 26, 2013
FORT WORTH, Texas - Standing 6-foot-6, freshman center Klara Bradshaw gives TCU plenty of length inside to cause some damage during the upcoming season.
Bradshaw, who was a consensus top-250 recruit nationally and hails from Emory, Texas, blocked 22 shots in a single-game during her senior season at Rains High School. It fell just three shy of tying Brittany Griner's state record of 25, which is the most ever in a high school game by a female in the United States. In all, she finished seventh in the nation in blocks, while ranking third in the entire state of Texas.
Bradshaw averaged 19.4 points per game, 12 rebounds per contest and 8.6 blocks per game during her high school career. In total, she blocked 283 shots during her final year, while picking up Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state and all-region accolades to go along with being selected for the TGCA All-Star Game.
