GoFrogs.com recently caught up with guard Helen Roden as she prepares for her senior season with the Lady Frogs.

After transferring to TCU from Odessa College (Texas) prior to the 2006-07 season, the Melbourne, Australia, native averaged 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Roden played in all 32 games and started 21.

GoFrogs.com: What do you miss most when you are away from Australia?
Helen Roden: The beaches! I love the ocean and just laying out in the sun.

GF: What is your favorite thing to do when you are back in Australia?
HR: First, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Second, I like to rest.

GF: What area of your game are you trying to improve most this summer?
HR: My shooting. It took me a while last season to adjust and now I'm planning on getting a head start so my shot is perfect just before the season.

GF: What was your favorite game last season?
HR: My favorite game would have to be our first against Maryland. Even though we lost, we were playing against one of the best teams in the nation.

GF: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
HR: Dwyane Wade. He hustles, shoots well, penetrates to the basket and is a team player. He is the whole package.

GF: Who is the player you tried to model your game after as a kid?
HR: Michael Jordan and an Australian point guard named Kristy Harrowa.

GF: What is the most recent movie you watched?
HR: Finding Nemo 3

GF: Who on the team will surprise the fans the most next season?
HR: Shayla (Moore). She has a nice shot that is very impressive.
