The TCU women's basketball team will be featured twice on national television during the 2003-04 season, women's basketball coach Jeff Mittie announced today.

The Lady Frogs will have their January 18 home game versus Houston along with their February 14 contest at Charlotte televised nationally on ESPN2. The cable network will carry three Conference USA regular season tilts, along with the Conference USA Tournament Championship game, which will be held at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on the TCU campus.

"We are the only team in the conference with two national television appearances this season," said Mittie. "That speaks to how strongly we finished the season last year when our final three games were nationally-televised. It also speaks to the optimism we have for the upcoming season with the number of key returnees we have, along with a strong group of newcomers. I'm especially pleased that one of those televised games is at home, along with the conference tournament championship game," continued Mittie. "Those telecasts will give us a chance to showcase Fort Worth, the TCU campus and Daniel-Meyer Coliseum."

The Lady Frogs have gone to the second round of the NCAA post-season tournament in each of the past three seasons. They were eliminated by eventual national champion Connecticut this past March.
