FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU women's basketball player Ashley Davis was honored Tuesday with the Senior Legacy Award for being a standout individual in the TCU community. Davis, who was an All-Mountain West Conference performer on the hardwood last year as a junior, has already earned her bachelor's degree in entrepreneurial management and is now working on a master's in education administration.
Typically, the award is given each school year to 8-12 senior students. Each winner must have demonstrated leadership abilities through active involvement in academic or university departments, co-curricular organizations and programs, and/or community agencies; be in good academic and social standing with the university; have contributed in a meaningful and intentional way to the quality of life at TCU and/or in Fort Worth; have actively sought opportunities to be part of the TCU learning community through academic and co-curricular avenues; visibly model what it means to be an ethical leader, responsible citizen, and/or global citizen; have positively influenced others; and have engaged in the responsibility of a formal leadership role on campus or in the community.
