TCU Lady Frogs Hold Annual Banquet
April 26, 2004 FORT WORTH, Texas The TCU Lady Frog basketball team held its annual banquet Monday evening to celebrate the 2003-04 season. A highlight film, team awards and silent auction comprised the event at Colonial Country Club. Sandora Irvin was named the team's Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row. Ebony Shaw took home Defensive Player of the Year accolades for the third straight year and Natasha Lacy was tabbed Freshman of the Year. Tracy Wynn earned the Academic Award and, along with Kim Ortega, garnered the Janice Dziuk Award. TCU reached the second round of the NCAA Championship for the fourth consecutive year and posted its fourth 20-win season in a row. The Lady Frogs' 25-7 record gave them the best winning percentage in school history (.781) and tied a school record for victories. The Purple and White finished the season ranked in the top-25 of both polls for the first time and never fell out of the rankings the entire season. Irvin and Lacy were both named All-Conference USA and Irvin became the first Lady Frog to earn All-America praise.
