The TCU Lady Frogs (21-9, 10-4 C-USA) look to avenge one of their nine regular-season losses Saturday when they face the No. 12/11 DePaul Blue Demons (25-3, 13-1 C-USA) at 1 p.m. CST in the semifinals of the Pepsi Conference USA Women's Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, N.C. DePaul registered an 84-81 overtime victory against TCU in Chicago in February. The Lady Frogs are coming off a 65-57 win over USF in the quarterfinals, while the Blue Demons were 78-55 winners versus Memphis.
TCU'S LAST TIME OUT
The TCU Lady Frogs recorded a 65-57 victory over the USF Bulls Friday in the Pepsi Conference USA Tournament in Charlotte, N.C. Sandora Irvin finished as the game's high scorer with 18 points and she added 13 boards, seven blocked shots and three steals. Natasha Lacy turned in a solid game with a dozen points, five rebounds and six assists. Lori Butler-Rayford tallied six points and grabbed nine rebounds.
DE PAUL'S LAST TIME OUT
The DePaul Blue Demons led the Memphis Lady Tigers 35-28 at halftime before outscoring them 43-27 in the second period to win 78-55. Khara Smith scored 23 points and had 15 rebounds to lead DePaul. Jenni Dant tallied 14 points and Jenna Rubino added 13. The Blue Demons shot 46.2 percent (30-of-65) from the field, while the Lady Tigers were 19-of-55 (.345). DePaul out-rebounded Memphis 50-30.
