ABOUT THE CONTEST
Two of the nation's four highest scoring teams will clash Sunday afternoon when the No. 17/19 TCU Lady Frogs host the No. 12/11 DePaul Blue Demons at 2 p.m. CST at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The game will be televised locally by the Conference USA Television Network on KFWD Channel 52. The Blue Demons (22-3, 10-2 C-USA) lead the nation in scoring and the Lady Frogs (21-4, 10-2 C-USA) are fourth. The game has important implications in determining this year's regular season champion, as TCU and DePaul are tied for second in the standings behind Houston, which has wins over both squads. The Lady Frogs and Blue Demons have a limited history with only two meetings. The home team won in each instance, as TCU downed DePaul 76-72 in Fort Worth exactly two years ago and fell 76-68 in Chicago Feb. 2, 2003. Lady Frog Ebony Shaw lit up DePaul in the Windy City by tallying a career-high 21 points in the loss and Sandora Irvin chipped in a double-double coming off the bench. DePaul has used the same starting lineup the entire season and four of the five average double figures. All-America candidate Khara Smith, a sophomore forward, tops the pack with 21.6 points per game. She also averages close to 12 rebounds each outing.

TCU'S LAST TIME OUT
After back-to-back games with 100 points, the No. 17/19 TCU Lady Frogs struggled to find the basket Friday night at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Fortunately, the Marquette Golden Eagles had an even harder time and TCU won by a 56-47 count. Lacy ended the game with a career-high 14 rebounds. She tallied eight points and also dished out six assists. Irvin recorded her eighth double-double in a row with 11 points and 13 rebounds. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native came up two blocks shy of a triple-double. The eight swats also allowed her to eclipse the 300-block mark for her career. She now has 302 to her credit. Shaw was the game's leading scorer with 16, going 6-of-12 overall and 3-for-5 from behind the arc.

LAST TIME THEY MET
TCU and DePaul last faced each other Feb. 2 of last year in Chicago. The Blue Demons won the contest by a 76-68 count, however, they led by 18 points at the half before TCU made its run in the second period. Ebony Shaw led all scorers in the game with 21 points coming on 9-of-15 shooting and Sandora Irvin came off the bench to tally 15 points. Irvin also added 10 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. Four players reach double figures for DePaul, led by Sarah Kustok's 20 on 8-of-12 shooting. Kustok nailed half of her attempts from behind the arc as well. Jenni Dant scored 18 and also assisted on six other buckets. Ashley Luke added a dozen and had seven rebounds, while Khara Smith notched a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 10 boards. The big difference in the game came at the free throw line, as DePaul managed 11 more attempts than TCU to make 18-of-23. The Lady Frogs went 8-for-12.
