Lady Frogs to Host Miami University (Ohio) Tonight at 7:00 p.m.
Jan. 3, 2003 FORT WORTH, Texas - About Tonight's Game... The Lady Frogs (6-5) finish their five-game homestand by hosting Miami University (Ohio) tonight at 7:00 p.m. This is the first meeting between the two schools. Freshman center Lindsey Prewitt is tonight's Spotlight Player. She will be signing autographs following the game. The RedHawks are 5-5 following a 50-55 squeaker loss against Clemson last Monday. Miami has put up over 100 points twice this season. MU defeated Wright State, 110-69, on Dec. 7, then lost 102-108 in overtime at Kentucky on Dec. 21. Heather Cusick leads the RedHawk scoring, averaging 17.5 points per game. Colleen Day and Melanie Kozlowski are tallying 9.9 and 9.6 ppg, respectively. Cusick is also the assist (50) and steals (31) leader for MU. Day has pulled down 69 boards in the RedHawks' 10 games to pace MU on the glass. Kim Lancaster is the second-leading rebounder, with 5.0 per game to her credit. Miami played at Conference USA opponent Saint Louis in mid-December, falling 55-58.
