FORT WORTH, Texas - Adrianne Ross scored 22 points and Lorie Butler-Rayford added nine points, eight rebounds and six assists to help the TCU Lady Frogs extend their winning streak to five games with an 83-72 win over the Florida Gators (4-6) on Friday night.

Ashley Davis added 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Danielle Nunn contributed 10 points as the Lady Frogs improved to 5-3 on the season. TCU (5-3) has won its last five games by 10-or-more points.

TCU got off to a slow start and the Gators took a seven-point lead halfway through the first half. Down 17-10 with 11:29 remaining in the opening period, the Lady Frogs - behind three 3-pointers from Davis - went on a 13-0 run and never looked back. TCU extended its lead to 34-26 by halftime despite turning the ball over 10 times.

The Gators responded after the break and went on an 18-8 run to pull the game within point, 45-44, with 13:57 remaining in the game. After back-to-back baskets and a free throw by Butler-Rayford, the Lady Frogs led by at least three points or more for the remainder of the game.

The Lady Frogs made seven free throws in the final minute of the contest to put the game out of reach.

Three Gator players scored in double figures and Florida shot 47.4 percent from the field. Marshae Dotson and Depree Bowden had 19 apiece, while Sha Brooks chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds.

TCU tied for its most points of the season (83), shooting 42.2 percent from the field (28-66). The Lady Frogs were 20-for-24 from the foul line for a respectable 83.3 free throw percentage. The Purple and White scored 23 points off Florida's 28 turnovers.

Ross registered six steals and Moneka Knight added four steals and five assists.

The Lady Frogs have won 10 straight home contests dating back to Jan. 28 of last season . . .
