LOS ANGELES -- The TCU women's basketball team fell short to NR/No. 25 Southern California on Sunday by a 65-62 score in Los Angeles.

The Lady Frogs (2-4) were able to grab a 20-15 lead with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first half after an Ashley Davis three-pointer. Southern California (3-2) answered with a 13-0 run that lasted just under four and a half minutes. The Women of Troy closed out the half outscoring TCU 24-10 to take a 39-30 halftime lead.

TCU closed to within one point three times in the second period, the last of which came with 21 seconds remaining when Natasha Lacy hit a jumper in the lane to make the score 63-62. USC's Chloe Kerr hit two free throws with 2.3 seconds remaining and TCU's long inbounds pass was stolen away at half court by Eshaya Murphy.

Lacy recorded her third double-double of the year with 15 points and 17 rebounds while dishing out seven assists. Adrianne Ross had a season-high 21 points and recorded five steals.

The Women of Troy were led by Murphy's 22 points, 15 of which came on threes. Meghan Gnekow tallied a dozen and Camille LeNoir chipped in 11.

TCU returns home Tuesday to face No. 1/2 Duke at 7 p.m. CST in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
