FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Sandora Irvin scored 24 points to lead No. 23 TCU to an 85-65 win over Southern Methodist on Thursday night.

Teammate Natasha Lacy had 18 points, going 6-for-6 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Niki Newton scored 11 and Vanessa Clementino added 10 for TCU (6-1).

Janielle Dodds led Southern Methodist with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Katie Gross had 13 points, and Sarah Davis had 10 for the Mustangs (4-1).

Southern Methodist shot 35 percent from the field and made only 4-of-18 3-point shots.

TCU shot 48 percent and led 52-32 at halftime.
