2008-09 (FRESHMAN):
Amanda Sims saw action in seven of 31 games during her freshman season... made her Lady Frog debut during TCU's 70-45 win over UT Arlington on Nov. 20... scored her first career points in the squad's final game of the season during the NCAA Tournament first-round loss to South Dakota State (March 22)... sank her only field-goal attempt in the game's final minute, while also pulling down her first career rebound... played a career-high four minutes during the Jan. 17 home victory over Air Force.

HIGH SCHOOL:
A two-guard prospect who played prep ball for Troy High School in Fullerton, Calif... the 5-10 guard was rated a three-star recruit by both Scout.com and HoopGurlz.com during her senior season, while Collegiate Girls Basketball Report rated her as the nation's No. 73 overall prospect and 13th-best shooting guard... nominee for both Street & Smith's and McDonald's All-America teams... a two-time league player of the year for Troy in Orange County's Freeway League... led Troy to a first-place finish in the Freeway League with a 23-5 record as a senior in 2007-08, when she won the league scoring title... posted single-game averages of 18.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game... Troy had run up a 120-game league winning streak by the end of her prep career... picked to the Orange County Register's first-team all-area squad as a senior... finished third in the league in 3-pointers made at 1.4 per contest... averaged 16.8 points per game as a junior with 11 efforts of 20 points or more, as the Warriors posted a 24-2 overall record... named to the Cal Hi Sports All-State Div. II team the same season... playing alongside her older sister, Lauren, helped Troy win its second-straight CIF Div. II state title as a sophomore in 2005-06... also logged time playing for the California Swish club team as a prep in the summer of 2007.

Born Amanda Lee Sims on Jan. 8, 1990... parents are Clark and Karen Sims ... father works as a respiratory therapist and mother is a nurse... her older sister, Lauren, is a junior on the Long Beach State women's basketball team... plans to pursue an education degree at TCU with a minor in business... wants to become a teacher following her time at TCU.
