Following a stellar freshman campaign in which she was honored with Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and All-Big 12 Freshman honors, look for Zahna Medley to push for first-team all-conference accolades in 2013-14 as she is already considered to be one of the elite guards in the conference as a sophomore. A dangerous and consistent shooter from deep, Medley is only going to get better with time and has a chance to see her numbers increase this upcoming season after gaining valuable experience during league play against some of the nation's elite point guards. Look for the Illinois native to pick up right where she left off during her freshman season and once again shine for the Frogs.

Medley, who also earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention accolades, led TCU in scoring this season, averaging 12.9 points per game ... She ranked No. 1 among all league freshmen in scoring and assists ... The Illinois native, who earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week accolades four times in 2012-13, ranked in the top 20 among all freshmen in the NCAA this season in points per game, while ranking third nationally among freshmen in assists per contest, averaging 4.3 ... Medley was also the only freshmen in the entire country and the Big 12 to record 13 or more assists in a single-game this season, having accomplished the feat against Oklahoma in January ... Medley scored in double-figures 10 times in league games this season ... She hit the 20-point mark six times, which was the most of any newcomer in the conference, which included a 21-point outing at the Big 12 Conference Tournament in Dallas ... Medley led TCU in assists in 16 games in league play and tallied four or more assists in a conference game 12 times, including double-digit assists in two outings ... During her four-year career, Medley, who scored a career-high of 37 points and was voted the State Journal-Register Central State Eight Conference Female Athlete of the Year, racked up a total of 2,617 points, the most in school history by either a male or female ... She averaged 24.2 points per game during her senior campaign, while connecting on 79 3-pointers ... Medley, a three-time State Journal-Register Central State Eight Conference Player of the Year and the 2011-12 IBS Illinois Player of the Year, averaged 50.4 percent from the field and over 80 percent from the charity stripe ... She holds program records for assists (531), 3-pointers made (264) and attempted (667), steals (435), double-figure games (123), free throws made (525) and attempted (668), games played (139), field goals made (910) and attempts (1,876) ...
