Mountain West Conference Player of the Week (Jan. 12)
Emily Carter appeared in each game with a career-high 26 starts as a sophomore... earned a place on the All-Moutain West Conference Second Team this season after raising her game to a new level during the MWC season... ranked third on the team in scoring, second in 3-pointers made and fourth in rebounds... was 13th in the Mountain West Conference in scoring and eighth in 3-point field-goal and free-throw percentage... recorded the 10th-best single-season free-throw percentage in program history... led the Frogs six times in scoring, three times in rebounds and once in assists... scored in double figures 20 times, including a string of 13 straight that marks a team season-high streak... had two 20-point performances... shot a league-best 42.4 percent from 3-point range while averaging 13.9 points per contest (the league's fifth-best mark) during MWC play... paced TCU while tying a career high with eight rebounds during the team's season-opening victory over No. 3 Maryland (Nov. 14)... scored 12 points in each of TCU's opening two games... set a then-career high with 15 points vs. Sam Houston State (Nov. 23)... hit two treys, including a key bucket with only 2:54 to play during TCU's Dec. 7 road upset of No. 3 Cal... tied what was then a career best with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting Dec. 30 vs. SMU... put up the best performance of her career during a Jan. 7 road win at Colorado State, scoring 24 points with nine rebounds, both career highs... made six straight 3-pointers after missing her first attempt vs. the Rams... the individual percentage marked the 10th-best effort in Lady Frog history... scored 16 points with four 3-pointers the following game at UNLV (Jan. 10), when she added a career-best six assists.... earned MWC Player of the Week honors for her performances against CSU and UNLV... led TCU with 11 points and three steals in a career-best 38 minutes vs. BYU (Jan. 13)... scored 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting in the Jan. 17 home win over Air Force... totaled 19 points, with an 8-of-9 showing at the charity stripe, during the Jan. 21 road win at Wyoming... added 15 points for the sixth time in seven games Jan. 25 at No. 23 New Mexico... tied for the team scoring lead with 18 points Jan. 28 vs. San Diego State... went 4-for-4 from 3-point range against the Aztecs... went 6-of-9 from the field (3-of-5 on 3-pointers) while totaling 15 points and five assists Feb. 10 vs. UNLV... totaled a game-high 16 points Feb. 14 at BYU while adding a career-best four steals... led TCU with 20 points, six steals and four 3-pointers on only seven attempts at Air Force (Feb. 18)... broke her previous career best for steals with five in the first half alone... played all 40 minutes for the first time in her career Feb. 21 vs. Wyoming, but her streak of consecutive double-figure scoring games came to an end at 13... paced TCU with 10 points during a low-scoring home win Feb. 25 over New Mexico... scored her 500th career point Feb. 28 at San Diego State... scored 11 points in her first career NCAA Tournament appearance during TCU's first-round loss to South Dakota State (March 22).
2007-08 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):
Carter saw action in 33 of 35 games during her first season playing for TCU, making two starts... paced the team in both free-throw percentage and 3-point percentage... led the Frogs in rebounds once (at Rice, Dec. 6) this season... scored in double figures eight times, including five games between Dec. 6 and Jan. 4... hit at least two 3-pointers in nine games this season... earned her first career start against No. 12/14 Cal (Nov. 23)... recorded her first career points with a pair of free throws against Radford (Nov. 9)... posted a personal-best 14 points and eight rebounds against Rice in a career-high 31 minutes of action... went 4-of-5 from the field for 11 points while helping TCU earn its first-ever win over New Mexico (Jan. 15) in The Pit... hit a career-best four 3-pointers while tying her top scoring game of 14 points to help lead TCU over Air Force on Feb. 2... scored 12 points thanks to a 3-for-3 effort from behind the arc March 1 against UNLV.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Carter holds the record for the most points ever scored, male or female, at Airline High School... logged an impressive 2,574 points during her four years on varsity... averaged 22.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists her senior campaign... played for Coach David Duhon... was a state nominee for the Wendy's High School Heisman... a McDonald's All-American nominee... also snagged BCI All-American and an AAU All-American honors... ended her career leading Airline to the 2006 state championship... was named all-district four straight seasons... also captured all-county and all-state recognition four years in a row from 2003 to 2006... had a phenomenal senior season where she was selected as MVP of Bossier City and selected to play in the Louisiana High School Coaches Associate/Coca Cola All-Star girls basketball game... led all scorers in the game with 11 points and picked up a win for the West team... played AAU ball with the Shreveport Bossier GBC... chose TCU over Louisiana Tech and Oklahoma State.
