Mission Statement
It is our goal that Texas Christian University student athletes receive every reasonable opportunity to develop the knowledge base and self management skills necessary for successful living. Toward that end, the AASO provides a variety of academic support services to student athletes, including academic counseling, course registration assistance, supervised study programs, and tutoring. Horned Frog tutoring services include small group sessions of 2-6 people and also individual tutor sessions.

The tutorial program is the foundation of our overall academic support system, and the tutors are integral to the success of this program. They have the opportunity to develop a close relationship with and be a significant influence on student athletes. This responsibility is a large one and should not be taken lightly. The AASO personnel are eager to help tutors face that responsibility in a way that will produce positive results.

In order to be considered for a tutoring position, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. Completed a minimum of 48 academic hours

2. Possess an overall GPA of 3.0

3. Have taken and passed with an "A" or "B" any course for which they are tutoring

4. Professor Recommendation

5. Fill out online application

6. Interview with Tutor Coordinator
