• - The All Sport Team GPA for the Fall 2009 semester of 2.965 was up from the 2.905 reported in the Spring 2009 semester - the highest since reporting began in Fall 1998

• - After the Fall 2003 semester there were only 5 sport programs over a 3.0 team GPA. After the most recent Fall 2009 semester, the TCU Athletics Department can boast 15 teams over the 3.00 mark and 16 over the 2.90 mark

• - 29 Horned Frog student-athletes graduated at the December 2009 commencement ceremony while 81 student-athletes graduated in the most recent 2008-2009 academic year

• - 22 Horned Frog student-athletes were named recipients for the Fall 2009 TCU Scholar Award (perfect 4.000 while being enrolled full-time)

• - 48 Horned Frog student-athletes were named Fall 2009 Dean's List recipients by their respective College

• - 36 Horned Frog student-athletes were named to the Fall 2009 Academic All-MWC team

• - 25 student-athletes earned a perfect semester GPA of 4.000

• - 24% of all student-athletes earned a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher

• - 41% of all student-athletes earned a semester GPA of 3.20 or higher

• - 58% of all student-athletes earned a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher

• - Both the men's (13 times) and women's (35 times) swimming & diving teams earned Scholar All-America honors for the fall 2009 semester as voted by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA)

• - Football standout Bart Johnson was named a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection for the second straight year

• - For the fourth consecutive year, the women's soccer program was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as an All-Academic team

• - Lizzy Karoly and Jackie Torda were honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as members of the honorable mention NSCAA Division I Scholar All-South Region team

• - Lizzy Karoly was named the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team

• - Four TCU student-athletes were honored as 2009 recipients of the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sport Scholar Award: Melissa Loh (1st team Women's Golf); Kevin Langford (2nd team Men's Basketball); Curtis Clay (3rd team Football); and Michelle Nguyen (3rd team Women's Soccer)
