Mansfield, Texas - Cosmin Cotet continued his impressive play on Wednesday as he defeated Dane Chuntraruk of USA 6-1, 6-1 in the first round of the singles main draw at the USA F26 Futures Tournament in Mansfield, Texas. Cotet, representing Romania, also teamed up with former TCU men's tennis standout Alex Menichini in doubles to defeat Trey Phillips and Stephen Poorman of USA 7-6(6), 6-0 in the first round of the doubles main draw.

Cotet will face Ruben Gonzalez of USA in the main draw's round of 16 on Thursday. The duo of Cotet and Menichini will meet the tournament's No. 3 double's pair of Aleksandr Nedovesov (UKR) and Armin Sandbichler (AUT) later Wednesday.
