Three Frogs Win First Round Matches at ITA Men's All-American Championships

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Three members of the TCU men's tennis team advanced to the second round of the prequalifying stage of the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) All-American Championships, the nation's largest collegiate tennis tournament, at Stone Mountain, Georgia, on Friday afternoon at the Lincoln Tennis Center. Freshmen Chris Brandi and Jacob Martin, and junior Daniel Wajnberg all won their matches in straight sets to advance. Freshman Oscar Roman lost his match to Jason Ontog of UTC, 6-4, 6-1.
Wajnberg defeated Justin Kaufmann of Wake Forest, 6-2, 6-3, while Brandi won his match over Paul Warkentin from Ohio State, 6-3, 6-4. Martin defeated Memphis' Michael Chamberlain, 6-4, 6-4.
