TULSA, Okla. - The TCU men's tennis doubles team of Kriegler Brink and Cosmin Cotet fell just short of pulling an upset in the opening round of the 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla on Thursday. Brink and Cotet ended the season with an overall mark of 16-8.

"We had a couple of chances to win the match today but the other team really played well," said TCU head coach Dave Borelli.

The TCU tandem, ranked No. 50 nationally, dropped a 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 decision to the third-seeded Miami duo of Carl Sundberg and Daniel Vallverdu in the round of 32. The Frog team was up double-match point but couldn't hold on in the final frame.

Brink and Cotet earned All-MWC doubles honors for the second consecutive season, and have tallied a career record together of 32-12.
